Our journey will begin in Salbertrand, as we set off along the old military road climbing towards Mount Jafferau. We will then pass through the striking Saraceni Gallery, a long tunnel carved deep into the rock of Mount Seguret. High above the valley, we will reach the historic Jafferau Battery, standing dramatically among clouds and mountains. From there, the route will lead us down towards Bardonecchia, before climbing again to the beautiful Rochemolles Dam and Lake. Surrounded by waterfalls, crystal-clear pools and alpine pastures, Rifugio Scarfiotti will welcome us into a truly unforgettable setting.
To end the day, we will ascend to the Colle del Sommeiller, where a wild, almost lunar landscape opens up at 3,000 metres above sea level.
